Million Dollars Authorized

The current backlog of street repairs is $35-40 million dollars. This Bond would be a major step forward to preventing a much larger cost, in the future, in reconstructing roads.

Years to Complete the project

The Bond authorizes the property tax assessment to be collected over 5 years. Construction would start within months of the passage, not years.

Major Road Sections Preserved

8 major roads, called arterials  and collectors, have been identified. These are roads that virtually everyone that lives or works in Springfield uses to commute to work, play, shopping, and medical facilities.
